When people call us

Every clearance starts with a reason

Moving home

Clear what isn’t coming with you before the removal van arrives, or empty what’s left once it has gone.

Landlords and lettings

Furniture and belongings left by outgoing tenants cleared between tenancies, so the flat can be cleaned, inventoried and re-let.

Probate and bereavement

Clearing the home of someone who has died, at a pace that suits the family and the executors.

Before a refurbishment

Rooms emptied before decorators or builders start. Add the rubble afterwards as a separate collection.

Probate and bereavement

Handled sensitively, at your pace

Clearing a loved one’s home is hard, and it often comes with deadlines from landlords, estate agents or the probate process. We work to the dates the family and executors set, and we talk to whoever is handling the estate.

Take whatever you want to keep first, or tell us which rooms and items to leave. If you’d like us to set aside paperwork, photographs or anything else we come across, say so before we start.

  • Keys and access arrangedWe can collect keys from an agent or solicitor and work while you’re not there.
  • Part clearancesLeave furniture for a valuation or sale and we clear the rest.
  • A clear, empty propertySwept and ready for the agent, the landlord or the new owners.

Where it all goes

Donated or recycled where possible

A clearance is mostly things, not rubbish. We sort as we load so less goes to landfill.

Good furniture and household items

Items in usable condition are donated where possible. Upholstered seating without fire safety labels often can’t be reused, so it goes for treatment instead.

Electricals and white goods

Fridges, washing machines, TVs and small appliances are recycled as WEEE.

About WEEE

Everything else

Metal, wood, textiles, paper and cardboard are separated for recycling. What’s left goes to licensed facilities.

Full or part

Clear one room or the whole property

A full clearance empties the property completely: furniture, carpets on request, kitchen contents, lofts, cellars, sheds and balconies. A part clearance takes only what you point to and leaves the rest.

Clearances are priced by volume and access. A top-floor flat with no lift takes longer than a ground-floor house, so tell us the floor, whether there’s a lift and where we can park. Photos of each room help us give you a firm written price.

  • Price agreed in writing before we start
  • All carrying, loading and sweeping done by our crew
  • A waste transfer note for the clearance

FAQ

Questions we get asked

How much does a flat clearance cost?

It depends on how much there is and how easy it is to get it out. We price by volume and access and give you a fixed written price before we start. Photos of each room are the quickest way to a quote.

Can you clear a property for probate?

Yes. We work to the dates set by the family or executors, can collect keys from a solicitor or agent, and leave anything you’ve asked us to keep.

Do I need to be there?

No. Many clearances are done with keys from an agent, landlord or solicitor. We’ll confirm with you when the property is empty.

What happens to the contents?

Usable items are donated where possible, electricals are recycled as WEEE and other materials are separated for recycling. The rest goes to licensed facilities.

Can landlords book clearances between tenancies?

Yes. Tell us the dates between tenancies and we’ll clear what the outgoing tenant left so the flat can be cleaned and re-let.
